Company founded in Montreal
A team of Canadian engineers unites in the Montreal area to set up a metal parts import and distribution company.
We are proud to …
Enable manufacturers to improve their competitiveness by focusing on high value-added activities:
By entrusting us with the supply of more common, more complex or more repetitive parts:
To have a strong presence on each of the 5 continents, with 3 concrete objectives:
Horizon
2026
We aim for a wide diversity of customers, on 3 levels: geographical diversity, diversity of company sizes, diversity of activities.
We aim for a manufacturing quality rate of over 99% (in terms of the number of projects completed without a quality incident).
We are aiming for a 90% rate of employees declaring themselves Very Happy to work at LR-TEK, across all international sites (measured by internal survey).
LR-TEK's 10 commitments in preparing quotations
1
LR-TEK is committed to providing, to the best of its knowledge, the most competitive price.
2
Our pricing is precise and rigorous. We take the time to check all the parameters of the project to give the "right price". We don't make rough estimates.
3
LR-TEK is transparent and provides all requested explanations regarding the price structure.
4
Prices do not vary by customer.
5
Prices are stable and predictable over time. However, they are affected by market conditions (transport, exchange rates, customs).
6
If the price of raw materials or transport drops significantly, we can, on request, re-issue the quotation to take account of the new conditions.
7
Prices do not change during the validity of the order, even if the order applies to deliveries over one year.
8
Our prices include all costs (customs, transport, taxes). The price of equipment (molds, special tools) is clearly displayed if applicable.
9
We look for more interesting options and inform the customer of them, when they exist: alternative manufacturing processes, redesign of the part, more interesting transport options.
10
In 2024, we made an effort to simplify and clarify our General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
In our work and in our relationships, we are guided by 4 values:
Being flexible. Adapting to the needs of each customer, whatever their geographical origin, size or activity. To always deliver total satisfaction.
To mobilize. To want to find solutions to make things happen. We know how to imagine and implement the conditions for a project's success.
Remain modest and accessible. Be transparent and recognize our limits. We work discreetly but pragmatically. We prefer concrete results to long speeches.
We enjoy learning. We take pleasure in working alongside our customers.

Faced with growing demand in Canada, and the increasing scale of the projects entrusted to us, the company had to start sourcing outside the country. China was chosen as the preferred source, due to its significant manufacturing capacity.

LR-TEK launches a wave of major international projects: recruitment of specialists (Quality, Procurement), modernization of 3 sites, reinforcement of management in China, overhaul of inspection procedures, partner audits, recruitment of sales staff in North America, Canadian-Vietnamese Customer Service for 24-hour service, membership in international trade associations, new corporate identity and website, etc.
After COVID, global demand picked up strongly in 2021.
But the world of work has been disrupted by COVID. Workers are scarcer and more expensive. In many companies, production capacity is capped due to labor shortages.
Manufacturers find themselves in an ironic paradox: record demand combined with a cruel lack of human resources. Order books are stretched to 12, 18, sometimes 24 months!
This causes a great deal of dysfunction: interrupted production, delays, strain on employees, loss of customers and associated costs.
Some companies are looking for solutions. They are exploring new suppliers, particularly in Asia. They sometimes come up against opportunistic, even unscrupulous suppliers: fluctuating prices, indecent minimum quantities, advance payments required, delivery dates not guaranteed, no recourse in the event of problems.
In this context, LR-TEK offers the ideal solution:
In 2024, global tensions continue to weigh on supply chains and shipping. And the labor shortage is still very real.
More than ever, LR-TEK strives to provide you with a reliable and competitive response.
At the same time, global warming is a growing concern. We all need to do our bit to reduce our carbon footprint.
Based on maritime transport, LR-TEK is looking into new manufacturing and transport methods, in order to make a social and sustainable contribution. LR-TEK also listens to your commitments to the planet: we’ll take them into account in our projects with you.
