Forging

For parts subject to high stress, the forging process is sometimes necessary …

Forging involves exerting pressure on the metal or alloy, at very high temperatures, when forming the block to be machined. The result is a metal with much greater strength than the same metal without forging.

LR-TEK’s location and volumes give you access to molds at more affordable prices than locally. This makes forging interesting for more limited series.

Supported dimensions
  • 25 mm – 45 cm
  • 1’’ – 18’’
Series

500 – 50 000 units

Mastered techniques
  • Die forging
  • Cold forging
Materials
  • Steel
  • Aluminium
A process optimized for
  • Parts subject to high pressure (cylinder parts, hydraulic cylinders, etc.)
  • Parts resistant to high impact or shear forces
  • Very competitive mold prices (vs. local prices)
FAB4

Stamping and Pressing

This fast, cost-effective process involves applying a die to a piece of sheet metal to obtain a shape very close to the final shape, in a fraction of a second.

Stamping and deep-drawing can be used to form relatively simple parts on a production line.

Supported dimensions
  • 25 mm – 2,5m (1’’ – 100’’)
  • Sheet thickness : 1,5mm – 15mm (1/16’’ – ½’’)
Series

2000 – 500 000 units

Mastered techniques
  • Stamping to add grooves or logos
  • Stamping to replace folding
  • Stamping (perforation of irregularly shaped holes)
  • Stamping (contour cutting)
Materials
  • Steel sheet
  • Aluminium sheet

Paint

LR-TEK will be able to advise you according to the constraints of your parts, and can carry out a comparative cost study.

Various painting processes are available:
  • Liquid spray paint
    • For indoors use, in less demanding environments
  • Baked paint (powder)
    • Outdoor use, hostile environments (e.g. construction machinery parts)
  • Enamelling
    • High-temperature resistance (e.g. fireplaces, furnaces, farm machinery)
  • E-coating
    • Less demanding environments.
    • For non-visible, non-corrosive parts.
  • LR-TEK offers :
    • Reproduce your paint color identically (color-matching)
    • Create your own specific color, based on a RAL code
    • Controlled painting conditions (closed booths)
    • Compliance with your specific requirements and tolerances (based on your documents, visuals, specifications or samples)
